Clutch Gamers roster shuffle; Jeyo, Bokerino and Mac in

First, it was revealed last week Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte had been picked up by Execration to replace Fernando "Nando" Mendoza. Then only days ago WG.Unity announced their new lineup to include Kenneth "Flysolo" Coloma - leaving Clutch Gamers down to three. Today's facebook announcement from the Filipino org has indicated that Rafael "Rapy" Sicat Palo has been released from the roster as well, leaving both Armel Paul "Armel" Tabios and Marvin 'Boombacs' Rushton as the sole survivors from the team created in December. Clutch Gamers was formed just prior to the Kiev Major in December. Less than a month after their formation, the team took second place in PDCup SEA 4 and then followed up with their first championship title several weeks later in PDCup SEA 5. It was shortly after their participation in the Kiev Major SEA qualifiers that they replaced Avelino "Ab1ng" Parungao with Khim "Gabbi" Villafuerte - the only roster change since the team was created. They had since enjoyed a spate of success and top results due to their talent and hard work and were marked by many to be the next big team to come out of the region.

The team qualified for 4 major LAN events in the span of one month - Dota 2 Summit 7, Manila Masters, EPICENTER Moscow and Mars Dota 2 League. The team had trouble translating their online and qualifier success into real results at LANs. Rounding out the bottom placements, Clutch Gamer's confidence started to crumble. A devastating blow was dealt to the team when their visa applications for The Summit were rejected and the team was denied participation in the event. If that wasn't enough, the team fizzled out with a fourth place finish in The International 7 SEA qualifiers, narrowing missing out on attending the big event. Fans will recognize Jeyo as a veteran known to both NA and SEA professional teams. His most recent stint was on HappyFeet after the short-lived team led by Peter "PPD" Dager WanteD disbanded. Boombacs is also a veteran to the region - having played with multiple teams since 2013. Most eye catching is the new kid on the block - MAC. Kyle "malachamavet" Rogoff, former coach/analyst for HappyFeet has reported that MAC was on a team called Team Sikrit with Boombacs last year but is mostly known for being the 13th highest sea mmr player, third highest from the Philippines. The new lineup will embark on a new season filled with more opportunities and high hopes to see improved final results.
