NA TI8 qualifiers in disarray after new patch update

The new patch update including Underhollow Beckons threw the NA TI8 open qualifiers into disarray, forcing FACEIT to void all matches and restart the event one day later.

Historically, patch updates have been known to cause interruptions in gameplay in some capacity. The release of the new multiteam Dungeon Clash, Underhollow Beckons, was no exception and this time bringing along chaos to the North American TI8 hopefuls.

Shortly after the patch update, the game went down and the subsequent result was problems with the FACEIT platform's bots and the game coordinator for the next two hours.

“We didn't expect this patch and any destabilization of GC could endanger the entire open qualifiers and it's exactly what happened as Round 1 matches had wrong reports and players couldn't join the games OR the system was tagging wrong people AFK/Leavers as GC connection was down.

Since a lot of teams suffered in 1st round because of this and lost their opportunity to play, we decided to move the NA open qualifiers for tomorrow where everyone will be able to signup again and play again from the 1st round. Sorry for the situation everyone, but this was completely out of our control :/ ”
